What is a Design Template?

A design templates can be compared to a coordinated packaged deal. For example, when you decorate a room, you use colors and patterns that all work together. A design template acts in much the same way. It is created so that even though different slide types can have different layouts and graphics, the whole presentation goes together as an attractive package. 

 

Before we start any training we create a template. In this case the Template is a form, mold, or pattern used as a guide to creating and developing the training. The Template can be designed with a Word document or PowerPoint. See an example of a Template for Leaders' Guide below.
